OpenFLUX.1 is the first open-source commercially available model in the Flux series launched by the ComfyUI team, named OpenFLUX1. This model has been distilled-free and can be fine-tuned, bringing new possibilities to image generation and inversion technology. The OpenFLUX1 model is open-source under the Apache 2.0 license, which means it is not only free for use by individuals and research institutions but can also be integrated by commercial entities into their products and services.

The features of the OpenFLUX1 model include:

  1. Commercially useful: Allows commercial use, providing more flexibility and room for innovation for enterprises and developers.
  2. Distilled-free: Specially processed to remove the distillation process, making the model more streamlined and efficient.
  3. Fine-tuning: Users can fine-tune the model according to their own needs to adapt to specific application scenarios or optimize performance.

The workflow of OpenFLUX.1 requires loading with the Flux Checkpoint method, and within the workflow, the Flux DEV FP8 model can be incorporated. When running the OpenFLUX.1 model, you might find that the run speed is somewhat time-consuming, and the image quality may differ from the equivalently quantized Flux.1-DEV-FP8 model. However, as a community open-source commercially available version, it can be optimized through subsequent dataset training.

The author suggests setting FLUXguidance to 3.5 for better performance.
